July 16, 2008 - Providence,
RI - Dustin Cone, 24, shot a sparkling, final-round
64 to win the Mizuno Open at Triggs Memorial Golf Course
by three strokes over Steve Sokol. Cone, a Purdue graduate
from Bennington, Vermont, birdied the first hole and never
looked back, firing six more birdies and eagle. The eagle
came off a 300-yard drive to 4-feet on the par-4 8th. Read

PULLING FOR RENNER AT MIZUNO OPEN For Immediate Release
July 16, 2008 - Providence,
RI The crowd was pulling for local prodigy,
Jim Renner, 23, to bring home the Mizuno Open at Triggs.
Renner, winner of three professional events already this
summer, was grouped with co-leaders Dustin Cone (Bennington,
VT) and James Gilleon (Singer, FL). Renner had a small band
of loyal fans traipsing around the well-groomed Triggs track.

Dear Players and Fans,
We are pleased to announce the new 2008
Golfers’ Warehouse Professional Golf Tour featuring
a five tournament schedule at golf courses throughout New
England this summer. We have carefully selected courses
and dates that cater to the developmental tour professional
who would like to play in New England this summer in preparation
for the 2008 Tour School.
Having spent the last 20 years playing professional
golf, I am committed to providing the players a New England
based TOUR that provides aspiring pro golfers the best experience
possible in preparing for a career on the Nationwide and
PGA TOUR. Most of our events will host pro ams that include
Golfers’ Warehouse vendors, and other local sponsors
who are supporting professional golf in the New England
region.
We are looking forward to a fantastic inaugural
Tour and to working with Golfers’ Warehouse, our Title
